A Cupola,

Treated Timber, Lead, Oil Gilding,

for a Georgian Stable Block in Shropshire.

Design and project management by the Studio of Rupert Pearson. Construction and installation by Anthony J. S. Lloyd-Wallis, assisted by Rupert Pearson.

Further discussion of this item together with supporting illustrations will be added as soon as practicable.

The structure was erected as replacement of the lost original, little of whose design could determined from its only known depiction.

Rupert Pearson drew particular inspiration from Classical Greek structures, Roman revivals of Classical Greek structures and from the work of English early baroque architects such as Inigo Jones and Lord Burlington.
